T20 Finals, Dhoni's captaincy, Shoaib Malik's statement
Hi again,
India Versus Pakistan, these two teams have always been giving great cricket to it's fans around the world and this only adds more dimension, interest and passion when it was T20 finals. Amazing! India scored only 157 but it was a thriller with fortune of glory swing from one team to another. Imran Nazir, played great cricket shots until Robin Uttappa sent a great throw to see him off, then it was MISBAH who played great cricket until he chose the last shot as his choice. INDIA WON. Celebration was wonderful.
Dhoni was seen giving his T-Shirt to a small boy and walking around bare body until he could find a sleevelss. Even in the last over, Dhoni was pretty cool in his body language and mind. His risks and selections would have be very debatable had India lost; Selecting Irfan Pathan's brother ahead of Karthick and using Joginder Sharma to bowl the last over when he was the weakest of bowlers on all the games he played. He never looked to have the strength in mind or body to bowl those overs yet he clicked by luck or hook. So Dhoni became an impressive, thoughtful and aggressive captain since he won but those risk was too much and would have been foolish had we lost. So that's the difference in thoughtful aggression and chancing your arms yet we won. Irfan won the man of the match, yet I feel it should have been Gambhir or shared. Emotions were overflowing from the cricketers. Oh, why did MISBAH choose that shot? well this is what tension or pressure can do. He has scored all his runs and sixes only playing straight or orthodox shots, maybe he tried Robin Uttappa's shot but Joginder Sharma does not have the pace for that shot.
Ravi Shastri down with the players and presentation party and time for Shoaib Malik to come and speak; he started with "first of all I would like to thank the people back home and all the muslim community in the world for supporting us, we played well as you all know"....that was a sad comment. Cricket is loved all over the world irrespective of what religion they are, even I love to watch Pakistani cricketers play but this statement even put me off . That statement would have broken many genuine cricket lovers heart. Cricket Captains and Cricketers should be given training on how to speak in public to save cricket and it's followers. Cricket is a religion in India everyone knows but we don't tag it with any one state or religion. Maybe he was indirectly apologizing to the fans back home scared of the backlash like the earlier occasions or his house being ransacked etc.

Dhoni, Yuvaraj, Sourav Ganguly, Captaincy Material, T20, Indian Team
With T20 semifinals due to start today between India vs Australia, lot of discussion and expectations as usual from Indian fans aired around.
MS. Dhoni, had done a wonderful job as a captain but in T20 there isn't much a captain need to use his brain as in other formats of the game. Dhoni is a dynamic cricket with natural talent; his aggression is controlled in batting hence we expect him to be the same even while leading the team. We need to wait and watch.
Other man in the news - Yuvi, Yuvaraj, not doubt he is supremely talented and we should agree with Ajay Jadeja when he said "he is more talented than even Tendulkar", but his talent isn't supported or held by the head as Tendulkar's. Tendulkar succeeded since he never took success to his head and not many talented survived when they cant hold their head in the right place. Yuvi, is a naturally aggressive player with supreme confidence in his own ability which sometimes is the cause of his downfall. So with all his little known nature to fans like me, if he is the captain, he is bound to take battle into the enemies ground proudly and boldly maybe even unaware of what his real strength might be that his aggression. Which means, if he succeeds he is a super hero. He might be as aggressive as Sourav Ganguly but Sourav had a much experienced and fearless head.
Yuvaraj's father has decided to be his mouth piece but telling the media that his son is upset since he didn't get the captaincy, father shouldn't comment such things which might go against Yuvi's reputation with the board and even with the team members. He shouldn't put unnecessary things in the air since it will have only negative views and impression and will not influence selectors or Yuvaraj's fan.
Sourav Ganguly - I like him as a captain, he had the aggression which sometimes when out of controlled when stirred unnecessarily. His T-Shirt swinging was a hit with many though it had its negative sides, it is his strength to prove to his opponent after laying them down under his feet that he is a champion capable of doing the same act that has provoked the Indian fans and Sourav. Just imagine the strength in his mind to comeback after Chapell's regime with Indian cricket as a coach. He was determined and despite of our Old cricketer's screaming through the media for younger blood, he made his way back into the team and until now hasn't failed. There is a huge difference in their stares when a catch is dropped or mis-field; Sourav's stare had the aggression that went deep into his heart, Dravid stare was soft yet he did his best until he could take or accept it.
Whatever or Whoever maybe the captain, if India wins he will be hailed as a great captain and when India loses Captain's the cause. So it's a thankless job.
Despite of all the talent, who rules the world will be the one who have the strength in his mind, PASSION to be one up and head in the right place. Passion for excellence is the meaning of SUCCESS.
Cheer!!!
It's Robin's view again.

Better Chennai - Thought of sharing some of my views for better living.
Its dog day....huh sweltering heat, choking traffic and less trees add to our body heat and sweat chasing us in search of drinks to chill our body and mind. Wish the traffic and corporation could try to install overhead shade on a huge pillar with thin and firm sheet sheltering the citizens of chennai. I am sure there are many corporates willing to sponsor. This will give lots of revenue to the corporation on regular basis. Summer or Winter this will be a shelter to chennaites. Wish officials look at it or something similar.
